Indexing & Archiving

Archiving Policy:

At Global Health Synapse, we are committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and security of all published content. In line with the principles of digital permanence and in accordance with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) best practices, we have implemented the following archiving mechanisms:

Digital Archiving Systems

We archive and preserve the full-text content of all articles published in this journal in the following trusted digital archiving services:

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

Our journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network, which provides free preservation services for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS). This ensures redundancy and long-term accessibility of published content.

LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

We utilize the LOCKSS program, developed by Stanford University, which enables libraries to collect, preserve, and serve the journal’s content, ensuring that copies remain available in the event of loss or discontinuation.

CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)

Our content is also preserved in the CLOCKSS archive, a community-governed archive designed to ensure scholarly content remains accessible and usable in the long term. CLOCKSS guarantees permanent and secure archiving with open access in case of trigger events.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories. We support self-archiving in accordance with the journal’s Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.

Archival Backups

In addition to external archiving services, regular internal backups of all journal content are maintained on secure local and cloud storage solutions managed by our IT infrastructure.
