About & Policies — Global Health Synapse (GHS)
About Us
Global Health Synapse (GHS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal focused on public health, clinical medicine, epidemiology, health policy, and healthcare systems. We publish original research articles, invited reviews, brief communications, technical notes, case studies, and implementation reports.
Our aim is to accelerate the translation of evidence into practice by providing a platform for researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and practitioners to share robust, actionable insights that improve health outcomes and advance health equity.
All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review coordinated by the editorial board and expert reviewers. Authors should follow the journal’s detailed formatting and submission guidelines to minimize processing delays.
Only original, unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere will be considered. Upon acceptance, articles are scheduled for online-first publication, followed by issue assignment at the editors’ discretion.
Open Access Policy
GHS is committed to barrier-free access to research. Articles are published open access with an Article Processing Charge (APC).
Content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, permitting sharing, adaptation, and reuse with appropriate credit.
Privacy Statement
We protect the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. Personal information (names, affiliations, emails, etc.) collected during submission, review, or publication is used solely for journal operations and is not shared with third parties.
Data handling follows applicable privacy and data-protection laws. Access is limited to editorial staff, reviewers, and technical support as required for the editorial workflow. Authors must obtain consent when including others’ personal data (e.g., in surveys or case reports).

We uphold academic rigor, transparency, and ethical publishing. Submissions are evaluated for originality, methodological soundness, relevance, and impact on public health practice and policy. Inclusivity, integrity, and collaboration guide our editorial decisions.
Code of Conduct
All participants—authors, reviewers, editors, and staff—must maintain professionalism, confidentiality, fairness, and respect throughout the publication process. Integrity is essential at every stage.
Digital Preservation Strategy
We safeguard the scholarly record via trusted preservation networks such as LOCKSS/CLOCKSS and partnerships with international libraries and archives to ensure long-term accessibility.

Our website and content are designed to be accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We align with WCAG guidance and review the platform regularly to improve usability.
